Yummy!

Dear Messy Monster,

After weeks of giving Mommy dirty looks when she ate in front of you, we decided it was time to give you your first solid food. We started with rice cereal and you LOVED it. We couldn't get it in your mouth fast enough. You would lean forward in your little seat with your mouth wide open for more. You made a mess and really wanted to hold the spoon yourself. It was quite the scene too, we had one person video taping, one with the camera like the paparazzi, one feeding you, and one making silly faces at you. I'm sure you thought we were crazy, but we wanted to make sure to document this milestone!

Love,
The ones who hold the spoon

Where Did Our Infant Go?

Dear Our Big Girl, you are getting so big! You have out grown all your 0-3 month clothing, won't let Mommy swaddle you anymore, AND sleep for 10 hours in your big girl crib! We are love to watch you grow and learn, but sad to see our little infant disapear. Here are a couple comparisions from when you were first born and now.
Love,
  Mom and Dad

Snow Days!

Dear Snow Princess,
This week we had our “annual” snowstorm and had about 6” of snow. It snowed Sunday night and we were “snowed in” until Wednesday, so mommy and daddy had 3 extra days to spend with you at home cuddline with you.  You really liked watching the colors and light of the fires that daddy made in the fireplace.  When it came time to take you outside to experience your first snow, your mommy put so many layers of clothes on you that you could barely move your arms and they were sticking straight out.  You have never really liked to have hats on and today was no different as you voiced your frustration and continuously tried to remove the hat with the funny little ears.  When we finally got outside, you were curious of what this cold, white stuff was all over the ground and just stared in amazement.  You weren’t quite sure when daddy sat you in the snow and mommy wasn’t sure either when daddy wanted to let you make your first snow angel, so daddy acted like a good parent and didn’t get you too wet and cold.  We love to experence new things through your eyes.

Love,
   Daddy
