Pumpkins, Pumpkins, and more Pumpkins

Dear Pumpkin,

Fall is here and is so is Halloween! We went to the big pumpkin patch way up in Daswsonville to spend a pretty fall day with the family and find one to bring home.  When Aunt Cici and Mommy were little Nammy would dress us up and get our picture taken each year in the pumpkin patch, so we carried on the tradition with you and Hadley and Harper.

The next weekend we carved our pumpkin. Your curiosity is so precious. You kept peeking into the pumpkin and would try to stick the pumpkin seeds in your mouth.  Everything goes in your mouth right now, you had 5 teeth come in at the beginning of the month and I don’t think they are stopping anytime soon.

For your first Halloween out you had to go as a pumpkin, and we think you are the cutest pumpkin ever. Your big blue eyes (which everyone comments about) looked so bright peeking out of your pumpkin hat. I’m sure next year you will get into the candy part, this year you just love to run up and down the street with the big kids.

The Cutest Cheerleader Around

Dear The Cutest Little Cheerleader,

College football season is something that your family looks forward to every year. We enjoy cheering on our teams and getting together with friends to tailgate and watch the games. This year you went to your very first tailgate and had so much fun with all the other kids. We really enjoy watching you react to each new situation you are in. You are so much fun and just love to explore and meet new friends.

Love,
   Your Cheerleaders

Blond Hair Blue Eyed Cutie

Dear Blondie,

You were born with dark (almost black) hair, now 11 months later you have blond hair and blue eyes. Your Daddy had blond hair, but we don't know where the big blue eyes came from. Everyone comments on how much hair you have and how stunning the your sparkly blue eyes are.

After going through many hair stages over the last year, your blond hair is now covering your pretty eyes so it was time to get it cut. We took you on a Sunday morning to a kids salon and you were great. I had a lollie pop in my pocket ready to bribe, but you were happy as could be looking at all the other kids and watching cartoons.

You look like such a pretty big girl with your new hair cut!

Love,
   Mom and Dad

Walking

Dear Walker,

Bye Bye Baby... Hello Toddler! 10 months and one day old you took 3 steps in a row. We stood you back up and you did it again. I don't think you really knew what you were doing the first time, but it didn't take you long to figure it out. Three weeks later and you are officially a walker. You can stand up from a sitting position and walk all the way around the house. It took us a couple weeks to get you on video walking, each time we brought out the camera you would sit down. :)

We love you and can't believe how big and independent you are becoming.

Love,
  Mom and Dadda

We finally got you walking on video and it was the first week of college football! You were wearing your navy and gold both.

Look Who's Pushing!

Dear Stroller,

Last week your Grandpa Jack got your a cute pink stroller to practice walking with. I though you would love to play with the toys on it and put your baby in it, and eventually you may walk with it. Mommy was wrong again...it wasn't five minutes after they had it put together that you were walking all the way across the room pushing it! Your face was funny, you were excited and maybe a little scared. A week later, you love to crawl over to your stroller, stand up, and push away. Now we have to teach you how to go in reverse, you'll hit a wall and just keep pushing. :)

Love,
   Parents of a Walker (Pusher)

Look Mom, I Can Feed Myself!

Dear Solid Food Champ,

Over the last month we have moved to more solid foods that you can feed yourself and you LOVE it. It doesn't matter if it's a yummy cookie (organic whole wheat teething biscuit) or peas, if you can feed yourself you love it. We still feed you some purees after you feed yourself to make sure you get enough to eat. When you are "all done" you tell us by rubbing your food in your hair (good thing bath time is right after dinner). We think it's really funny when we undress you to put you in the tub how many "stowaways" from dinner fall on the bathroom floor.

In the pictures you are eating carrots, peas, and avocado. Then I gave you a little pureed blueberries. You also like watermelon, a little deli turkey and you favorite, puffs.

We just started meat at 9 months (little pieces because Daddy thinks puree meat is gross) and we are going to try some yogurt.

Love,
  Chef Mom and Dad
