F.F.F. minus the “F”

Dear Our Smallest Family Member,

We look forward to all the fun times we are going to have as a family. Disney world, trips to the lake with your uncles, braves games, fun filled weekends… this weekend we had lunch with Ms. Patty, went and watched your dad’s rugby game, then we went to watch Toy Story 3 in the park with you friend Avery and her parents. It was so nice to have a little picnic, enjoy the company, and watch all the little kids running around. It’s not going to be long before you and Avery are running around with them. I really treasure these moments with you, when we take a break from the crazy day to day schedule and do activities with our family and friends.

Aunt Cici and I use to call this F.F.F. (Forced Family Fun), I dread the day when you add the Forced to our Family Fun.

Love,
   Your Family

Sand and Sunscreen

Dear Sand Monster,

We took our first family vacation to the beach in April. We drove down to Daytona Shores, IV’s parents were soo nice to let us use their beautiful condo.  The condo was right on the beach, you and mommy would lay on the couch with the door open and watch the sunrise after your morning feeding (then mommy and you would take a little nap). J I don’t think I will ever forget you laying on me drifting off to sleep while I listened to the waves and watched the sky change colors. It felt like we were in heaven!

Six months old was the perfect time for our first trip. You LOVE to look around and study everything new around you. You sit up really well, but can’t crawl or run away just yet.  You did great on the ride down, you slept most of the time and played a little peek-a-boo with me when you were awake.

While we were there you got in the Big Bathtub (swimming pool) for the first time. You liked to splash the water like you do in the tub at home and had fun floating around in your new raft from Grandpa Jack. The beach was okay too, you are not a fan of sunscreen or hats, so we tried to keep you in the little tent most of the time. Daddy took you out in the ocean (Mommy got nervous when he went too far), then you just sat and watched the waves come up around you. I have a feeling you’re not going to be scared by much. Your favorite part was grabbing a handful of stand and stuffing it in your mouth! Dad jokes that you gained five pounds in sand weight while we were there.

What a perfect first vacation.
Love,
The mean people that covered you in lotion wouldn’t let you eat the entire beach

6 Months Old!!

Dear 1/2 Birthday Girl!

I can not believe that you are 6 months old! It's a strange combination of not remembering life with out you and feeling like you were just a brand new baby yesterday. I have always loved babies, and 6 months has always been the magic number in my head that is when infants become fun loving babies. It really is the greatest, you are the joy of our lives. You smile and giggle at everything, it's hard to be in a bad mood around you. My favorite smile is when I pick you up in the morning, as soon as you see me you squirm and smile so big. I want to freeze time so that we can lay on the floor in your nursery and play together forever.

We love you sooo much. Happy 1/2 Birthday!

Love,
   Mama and Dadda

We bought you this pretty little bublble the day we found out you were a girl. I would hold it and imagine you in it when I was pregnant. You are even prettier in it than I imagined 6 months ago!

It's a whole new world

Dear Sitter,

You started sitting up all by yourself, and it's a whole new world. You love it. We plop you on the floor and surround you with your favorite toys and you get so excited, not knowing which to play with first. Daddy is excited that he can roll the ball with you now. Sometimes you roll it back to him and sometime you just eat the ball. :) You have always been very curious about what is going on around you, now you can see so much more. You will sit and watch everything going on in the room. I think you are an even happier baby now that you sit up like a big girl!

Mommy wants to squeeze you you are so super cute sitting looking up at us.

Love,
  Mommy and Daddy

Spring is here

Dear Kenzie,

Mommy is so happy about spending time with you in the Spring. We can go for walks, swing at the park, and you get to wear all the precious little bubbles that I have been hanging in your closet for months. You look ADORABLE, with you chunky little legs and barefoot tiny feet. This last weekend we went to the park with Ben and Auntie Megan. We took pictures in the grass and you swung for the first time. You loved it, you squealed and smiled the whole time. It is so amazing experiencing spring and trying new things with you.

Love,
  MaMa
