Sand and Sunscreen

Dear Sand Monster,

We took our first family vacation to the beach in April. We drove down to Daytona Shores, IV’s parents were soo nice to let us use their beautiful condo.  The condo was right on the beach, you and mommy would lay on the couch with the door open and watch the sunrise after your morning feeding (then mommy and you would take a little nap). J I don’t think I will ever forget you laying on me drifting off to sleep while I listened to the waves and watched the sky change colors. It felt like we were in heaven!

Six months old was the perfect time for our first trip. You LOVE to look around and study everything new around you. You sit up really well, but can’t crawl or run away just yet.  You did great on the ride down, you slept most of the time and played a little peek-a-boo with me when you were awake.

While we were there you got in the Big Bathtub (swimming pool) for the first time. You liked to splash the water like you do in the tub at home and had fun floating around in your new raft from Grandpa Jack. The beach was okay too, you are not a fan of sunscreen or hats, so we tried to keep you in the little tent most of the time. Daddy took you out in the ocean (Mommy got nervous when he went too far), then you just sat and watched the waves come up around you. I have a feeling you’re not going to be scared by much. Your favorite part was grabbing a handful of stand and stuffing it in your mouth! Dad jokes that you gained five pounds in sand weight while we were there.

What a perfect first vacation.
Love,
The mean people that covered you in lotion wouldn’t let you eat the entire beach
